GUESS what arrived in today's mail while I was at work? No, really. Guess.
I'll give you a hint - it's what I was on about in my last post.
(And to further update it, I took
stacyinthecity's advice and called the bank back in the afternoon. This time, the guy I spoke to was more in line with the level of service I'm accustomed to at my bank. He apologized profusely for the treatment, for the fact that my card hadn't gotten there yet, that I had to go through this at all. And he seemed really genuine about it, too. He swore that the bank was really working hard to fix the problem, and that if I didn't have a card by Monday, I should call back and they would make me a priority, as he was placing a note in my account. Thankfully, that wasn't necessary.)
And now, I shall celebrate my triumphant return to the 21st century! By, um, waiting until next thursday to use the card. Because that's when I get paid. Ah, well.
