1. What's the weather like?
At the moment, chilly and overcast, and it's supposed to rain.

2. When is the last time you felt appreciated?
Yesterday.

3. What is the last bad news you heard?
That the relative of a close friend died yesterday.

4. What is your favorite sad song?
At the moment? "Wild Horses." Almost any version, although I do have a particular fondness for The Sundays.

5. Tell us about something you're obsessed with:
I will take this moment to again pimp out Veronica Mars, one of the very best shows on television right now. The heroine (played by the marvelous Kristin Bell) is smart and snarky, but also has her moments of vulnerability and humanity. She solves mysteries both episodic and season-long, along with her dad, with whom she has one of the best father/daughter relationships on TV. Her love interest, Logan, is what Spike would have been were he a spoiled, rich surfer from California. The show is chock-full of great writing, great music, and great perfomances, and starting next week, it'll be on Tuesdays at 9 instead of opposite Lost. If you want to check it out, I can bring you up to speed.

1. Do you like chicken?
Yes. Who doesn't, really?

2. What is 1 food you can't live without?
Pasta. I can find it on almost any menu, in any cuisine. I love it in all of its forms. It is the flame, I am the moth. And:

The moth don't care when he sees the flame
he might get burned but he's in the game
and once he's in he can't go back, and
beat his wings 'til he burns them black

3. Are you an early bird or a night owl?
More than likely an early bird. I'm usually great when I first wake up, but when it's time to sleep, I need sleep. Sometimes I get a 2nd wind around midnight, though.

4. Chocolate or vanilla?
Both.

5. Are you more of a cat person or a dog person?
My allergies make it hard to be a cat person, but I love cats and they tend to love me. It might be some bizarre feline sense of humor that involves picking on the afflicted, I don't know. But they almost always come up to me. Dogs, too. I also love dogs, and wouldn't mind owning one when my life calms down, even if they are a big responsibility. Jess & I saw the sweetest one yesterday - the dog only had 3 legs, but she had the sweetest face and an awesome doggy personality. I totally would have adopted her, too.

And finally: From far too many on my FList.
