More wasted time.

This is how it works: Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
quasisonic gave me a J, so here goes:
1. Jeopardy! I was a contestant on this show when I was not quite 17 yet. It usually shocks people when they learn this, about how I was on real live TV, OMGWTFBBQ. It was a great, crazy experience that caused me to meet one of my very best friends in the whole world,
zyll (which was the best prize of all.)
2. Jewelry: Who doesn't love the shiny and sparkly? I have tons of it, and usually have to restrain myself from buying more. Am also heartsick about losing half of one of my favorite pairs of earrings, too.
3. Jane Eyre: One of my all-time favorite books. The voice Bronte created for Jane is just so clear and alive that she practically walks off of the page. (Or actually does, if you're a Fforde fan, but I digress). It was also a major thing that Carly and I had in common - during our years in Albany, there was a copy that passed back and forth between us many, many times.
4.Jokes: I love to laugh, and I love jokes. One liners, puns, elaborate stories or parodies - just keep me giggling.
5. Jasons: There are three Jasons right now that I am enamoured of. Of course, there's Jason Lee, star of the hilarious My Name is Earl, whom I first noticed in his breakout role in Kevin Smith's Mallrats. Then there's Jason Dohring, whom some of you know as Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars He's a pretty good actor, hot, his character usually ends up with most of the best lines, and did I mention he was hot? And of course, there's Jason Giambi, first baseman/DH for the Yankees, who is having a pretty good season so far, despite past troubles.
6. John Daniels: Always a part of this balanced debauchery. He may be Jack to some of you, but when you've known him as long as I have...
7. July: This summer, I plan on spending a lot of time at my parents' beach club, of which I am now a member as well. July is supposed to be wicked hot this year, so I'm super psyched about having regular access to a pool, even if it is in Far Rockaway.
8. Journals: I always have something on me to scribble in. My journals used to be a lot more complete before I was online so damn much, but Livejournal counts for something too, I wager. Still, there's nothing that quite compares to paper and pen for me. Especailly if it's pretty - I'm currently using one that Carly made for me.
9. Jay-Z:
jackalprey gave me a copy of The Black Album months ago, but I didn't really get into it until recently. It's my favorite music to listen to when I feel like I want to bust some heads. My favorites are "Lucifer," "99 Problems," and "Dirt off your shoulder," but I'm willing to wager that there isn't a bad song on it.
10. Japanese Food: Not only do I love sushi, but I also love a big bowl of ramen (and not the packaged stuff, either), or just about anything else you'd find in a Japanese restaurant.

Date: 2006-04-27 07:04 pm (UTC)Lt. Col. Frank Slade: Clear them little bottles off. And when I get off the phone here, call up Hyman and tell him I want it wall to wall with John Daniels.
Charlie Simms: Don't you mean Jack Daniels?
Lt. Col. Frank Slade: He may be Jack to you son, but when you've known him as long as I have... that's a joke
