I'm in your parks! stalking your celebrities!

I got a tip from dkellergrl earlier today that apparently Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman were filming a movie together in Bryant Park (about 10 minutes from where I work, longer if the slow-moving society of ambling wanderers are out in force, but I digress).  I made my way up to the park.  

I thought that they'd be done and gone already. I thought I would be unable to get a look.

BUT I DID!!!  

I wasn't close enough to get pictures - they were far, far away.  If you know the park, it was closer to the 5th avenue side, back by the library.  They were sitting at one of those green tables.   Most of what they were doing was waiting around to shoot, and as a result, seemed to be chatting merrily to pass the time.  Ewan, at one point, told a story that made Hugh laugh so hard he nearly fell out of his chair.  They also were doing a bit of looking around at the city and the park (that may have been part of the scene, I'm not sure), and sitting patiently as hair and makeup people preened them.   

So, so so very exciting.  As I left the park and made my way back up 6th avenue to the office, I had a little extra spring in my step.  Sometimes, it's so very, very cool to live here.

Wow, double hotness! They're apparently filming a movie ("Reservation Road") with Mark Ruffalo in Stamford soon. :) Too bad I don't work in that city though, they'll probably get someone from that office to cover it.

Stamford?! That's my hometown and my family still lives there. Fabulous news. My sister will probably tell me about the filming.

Cool! This is the 3rd movie I've heard about filming in areas that I'm in frequently! Must be all the rush of movies with NYC in fall as a setting. Living here is cool, I agree. :)

I missed out on seeing Ewan cracking up Hugh (it's also his birthday today). I'm glad that you were able to see them today.
