Dear Dresden Files Ficwriter:
So, you've written 25 Harry/Murphy drabbles inspired by 25 different songs. I'll stifle my initial eyeroll and say bully for you, as I have not read them, as I am not up to date on the books yet, and I don't want myself spoiled for that Universe (which is very different from the TV 'verse), and you never know, they might be decent. And I'm down with Harry/Murphy, obviously. But for the love of Bob and all that is holy, could you PRETTY PLEASE stop spamming the community whenever you finish another drabble? If they're a series, gather them into 2-3 posts (or hey! even ONE) when they're all done. See how easy that is? See how people are now willing to give you more nice feedback when they're not being drabble-bombed? It's amazing, no?
Kisses,
Me.
Also, has anyone else read Buffy: Season 8 #3 yet? I did at lunch and I'm DYING to discuss. Further on the comic bend, I remarked to
antheia this morning that I've gone from "I've read some graphic novels and enjoyed them" to "OMG Is it Wednesday yet?" in the space of a few short months. AND IT'S ALL JOSS WHEDON'S FAULT. AND KRIPKE HELPED. Today, on my trip to Midtown Comics, I purchased the aforementioned, as well as Supernatural: Origins #1 and X-Men: Runaways #26, which starts Joss's storyline for that series. I'd been meaning to pick up Runaways since
ozzdo mentioned it awhile back, but this seems like a decent enough entry point. And if I really like it, I may just go pick up at TPB. I also got clued into another comic that sounds pretty awesome, the Fables series. Has anyone here read? Any thoughts? I'm contemplating picking up the first TPB of that to see what I think of it.
It's a disease, I'm telling you. There's no telling what will happen after Free Comic Day on Saturday. ::nerdy::

Date: 2007-05-03 03:10 pm (UTC)You'll LURVE Fables. It is very, very awesome.
One of my favourites is where Prince Charming's exes get together over lunch to talk about him...

Date: 2007-05-03 03:35 pm (UTC)But Fables is On the List. Along with the TPB of Runaways.

Date: 2007-05-03 03:40 pm (UTC)In the "snarky and fun," look for Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things. They're the little manga-size TPBs and they're FABULOUS - hugely detailed art, twisty little storylines, very cute and VERY snarky. They're meant for the manga-type reader, but they're actually well written and entertaining. I love 'em.

Any reccomendations? So far, I plan on getting what the guy in Midtown Lunch ordered (pernil, maudros, and moros), but if Matt wants to split a side order of sweet plantains, I'll get the rice & black beans.
