Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who commented (or posted) with well wishes. They've been making me smile all day.

Secondly, I'd like to wish [livejournal.com profile] applessixeleven a happy belated birthday. It would have been on time, but yesterday was eventful, to say the least.

Thirdly, may the universe forever bless tylenol. It really has been working very well to take the edge off of the pain. Also, big up to the thermacare heat wrap, which made most of today tolerable.

Otherwise, today has involved a lot of figuring out which positions I can lay in without mewling. Also, the discovery that my left arm/shoulder hurts a fuckload more than I thought it would, particularly whenever I try to hold it anywhere but in what I call "sling position." My parents came to visit me for a few hours, which was exactly what I needed (especially after someone I work with - not the one who brought me to the ER, mind you, but someone else I have to call when I'm out sick - made me feel like a horrible person for staying out today and having to stay out tomorrow. Because it's been SO MUCH FUN, really.)

Occasionally, I'm still nauseated and unsure on my feet. Every so often, a part of my body that I thought was fine is not. My head will pound and ache. My neck will stiffen and decide it doesn't want to move anymore. My arm, we've covered. And that's not say anything of the aches or bruises or anything else that I've been feeling.

But wait - there's more!! Dr. McDreamy called this morning. Partially to see how I was doing [insert highly (in)appropriate bedside manner joke here], but mostly to let me know that in my cat scan, they noticed that I may have a slightly enlarged thyroid. (No surprise there, it runs in the family). Guess all of those sore throats weren't just the A/C after all. I'm seeing my regular doc tomorrow so I can schedule an ultrasound and get this looked at. He said it's nothing to be worried about. Me? I am embarrassed to say that I was trying my hardest to not carry on like an Eighth grader because the hawt doctor calllled meeee. (Yes, I fail.)

Right now? I think I'm going to curl up in bed and go to sleep. Despite the fact that the most strenuous thing I did all day was watch Hex (OH MY GOD, ELLA. AND THELMA. AND LEON. AND AND AND), I'm exhausted. And sore. Maybe the tylenol is wearing off. Probably a clue.

(Why is it that I have to watch Practical Magic every single time it's on? [livejournal.com profile] alcestis, do you know?)

Dude is Thelma just hell on wheels or what?!

More like hell on heels, if you ask me. ;)

But yeah. I hate to say it, but the shows been a lot better since they got rid of Cassie. A LOT better (and I was totally doubtful of this when Ella first showed up). I prefer Badass!Ella more than Winging!Ella, though, to be honest.

Oh god, I know! It's completely amazing now. And Badass!Ella is about my favorite thing ever. But Thelma, and Leon... !!!

And I am sorry about your head. I'm glad you had a hot doctor experience. ^_^

Isn't she marvelous? I hate it when she's being all wibbly, but love it when she's quippy and ready to kick ass.

Thanks! I'm glad about the hot doctor experience, too. ^__^

Hope you're doing okay...

I haven't watched lately (there's a big fat gob of it on the DVR) but I could eat Jemma Rooper with a spoon, and then I'd probably mount the spoon in a shadow box on the wall.

Well, so far this 2nd series has been marvelous. And I hear there's going to be a third!! Joy!

(Jemima Rooper had a small part in the movie Kinky Boots, you know.)

One of the reasons I put up with my regular doctor's office is because he's the kind of doctor who calls you with stuff, and who you can call at 9pm on a Sunday if you need something, and he'll drop everything to get it to you.

But to have a Big Fancy ER doc call me?? Eeeee.

I'm assuming your regular doc is in Brooklyn? ::sigh:: I've become so disillusioned with health care lately. While the doctors I've picked come recommended, it's like pulling teeth to get face time. I finally saw the guy who is officially my primary doc after TWO YEARS the other day, because usually when I go in for something you see a PA or they've made my physical appointments with the other doctors in the practice. Who are all great, mind you, but consistency is nice. And forget actually talking to my girlie doc, I have to go through a nurse. I guess they're all super busy and managed care is the likely culprit, but still.

(btw, the tests I took last week came back negative -- I had to bug the nurse about my probs. with the antibiotic to get the results. grr.)

Yes, he's in Brooklyn. And when I saw him today, he took his time to tell me about everything I should be concerned about in the next two weeks, in regards to the concussion. I mean, you can always keep looking for a new place if you don't like these people.

Jess and I go to a really great girlie doc in Manhattan, though, if you want a ref.

(hooray!! Now, we just have to hope that my thyroid ultrasound on Friday and my bloodwork from today are all normal, and this cyst is nothing.)

Because Practical Magic is awesome. Now I want to scurry home and watch it. (Let's do that sometime soon, ok?)

You know what also rocks about Hex (outside of Thelma and Ella and Leon and even Malachi)? The hair. Oh jesus the hair in that show!

Every time I watch it, I pick up on something new I like. (Yes, absolutely.)

Yes! They all have some hair! (although I'm glad they evened out Thelma's bob. I hated that uneven thing..)
