Of course it had to rain today.

I just found out that I get out at 2pm on Friday. I'm entirely pleased by this. I just have to decide what to do with this newly acquired free time. I have plans later in the evening, but that does give me some free afternoon time. Hmm. I never did get to go to the Whitney during my birthdaycation. That's a viable option, especially as I get in for free. There's also a gallery downtown that has an exhibit that seems really interesting that I wouldn't mind checking out. I guess it'll be better to wait and see what my options are after this week's Time Out arrives, at any rate.
Speaking of time out, tonight
whtegrlwthehair and I are going to see The Mountain Goats perform at The Music Hall of Williamsburg, a venue I have not been to yet. Hopefully the show will be as good as the last one of theirs I went to. Maybe even better, since I'll be wearing the right shoes this time (ones that I can stand in for longer periods of time than the ones I wore to the last show). I'm extremely psyched about seeing them, though.
I also realized that it's about two weeks until I head out to St. Louis. Must call
zyll and work out at least what my arrival plans are.
Other than that, I have made 2 doctor's appointments in the past week and am about to make a third. With the one existing, that will make a total of four. Nothing's wrong, it's just annual visit time for all the specialists (teeth, eyes, skin, etc).
And now, work. Blah. I think I need some green tea.

Date: 2008-03-19 02:43 pm (UTC)I'm still trying to make my annual appointments. I need to find new docs in my new state, and I keep putting it off because I'm so fond of my dentist and doctor. I don't wanna give them up, even though it's like a two-hour drive to see the doc...!
(what kind of green tea? I've been on a Moroccan mint kick lately)

Date: 2008-03-19 02:54 pm (UTC)The tea is Tazo Zen, which is green tea blended with eucalyptus and spearmint. It's MARVELOUS. Tazo is usually above-average for a bag tea, but this is particularly lovely.

Date: 2008-03-19 02:58 pm (UTC)I'm trying to arrange to see both on the same day, but the dentist is being a pain in my ass. They've already cancelled two appointments on me. I'm mostly just worried about finding a doc I like - mine is full-service and amazing and totally open to supplementing traditional with alternative therapies. I love her. It just scares me that, if something goes wrong, I have no nearby doctor to get to...
