Dear Body:
Now, I know we don't always get along. But I do my best to make you happy, despite how annoying you are. (The weak stomach, the colds you always seem to collect, how you tire easily, gain weight easily, and are altogether shorter than is optimal). But I deal. I cope, and I try to accept. And yet, this week? I can't win with you. It doesn't matter how much sleep you get, you're dragging around like a sack of potatoes. Tell me what I need to do and I'll do it, but no matter how much sleep I try to give you, it's not enough. I can't go around in zombie mode, nor can I deal with the depressive feelings that present when I'm exhausted. No, really. I'm sick of your diva crap. Give me something I can fix or cut the crap already.

exhaustively yours,
Me.

I'm pretty sure the sudden, abrupt change in season is doing it. Because I feel the exact same bloody way...

That makes a certain amount of sense. My mom is wondering if I'm fighting something off.

That could be, too. I've been exhausted, a little sneezy/sniffly (probably due to allergies), and sore and run-down for the last week or two. Stress? Bug? Change of season? Dunno. It's interesting that you're feeling hte same way...

Unsolicited Advice

I have recently become the world's biggest advocate for Vitamin D supplements, mostly because due to my gluten intolerance I was severely depleted. But when I started to do the research, which granted came from somewhat biased sources, I learned that it is actually impossible to get as much Vitamin D as you need from the just sun during winter months. When I started taking it, I noted a marked increase in my energy level and mood. But I was also coming from a single digit, so maybe my reaction was extreme. *end unsolicited advice*

Also,I totally hear you on being shorter than is optimal. I think I would have rocked 5'7".

Hm. I will have to try that. I've used sublingual B12s for years when I have these weird drops in energy (as well as B12 shots from my doctor, which are wonderful). But the overnight shift from blistering summer to deep autumn probably threw something out of whack (or off balance ::cough::) and I may give this a try. How many miligrams do you take?

(5'7" would have been amazing. The shelves we could reach! The pants we could wear unaltered!)

I am supposed to take 2000 milligrams a day, which is double the dose on the bottle, but again, I was coming from a deficiency.

When my movers were working their magic filling my apartment with stuff, they took a lightbulb out of the hall fixture. Even on my with a step ladder, it is absolutely too high for me to replace. *Shortness, I shake my fist at you!*
