Buying...London has far too many appealing retail outlets. Surprisingly enough, I've been very well-behaved and managed to be fairly frugal - more than I thought, anyway. Whee! Today I got an England soccer jersey (world cup fever is catching...I'm starting to care about it...) and two t-shirts, one for Laura. ;) I hope she likes it. I've been having a devil of a time. I've been buying presents like crazy - there are so many cute things here. And Portobello road was a lot of fun, and fairly inexpensive. antheia did find a possible bag. And I've been seeing lots of nice ones, which beg the question of whether to fix the red old navy bag yet again or just get a new one. I love the one in the Dr. Martin store, that has the big Union Jack on the side. It's £30, but if antheia is getting her Londale bag, maybe...just maybe. It all depends on what shape she's in...she seems a bit tired today.
Tomorrow is Westminster Abbey, Dali and Chagall exhibits at galleries near the London eye, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and any last minute things we want to do before we have to leave. Tuesday is a big English breakfast to finish off the fun before dealing with Heathrow again. ugh.
This is been so marvelous. If I forget to say it, thank you to all who insisted I take the trip instead of the computer!!
