What a day already...

I found out yesterday that I'm going to need to buy a new cell phone in order to get the service I want (which will make 98% of the country a local call. (zyll, I'll have NO excuse now!) I was not pleased, but hey, what can you do, really? At least my number won't change. I'm considering getting the kind that play annoying ringtones. FEAR MY WRATH!!!! (hehehehe - oh, to be a dork and have the Buffy theme be my ring...). But I really do love my phone and I'm pretty pissed off at having to give it up.

Plus, Monthly Mary is here with full force, leaving me in less than tiptop shape. *whinge* Grrrr.

Also: I'm getting bored with my icons. I've had them for awhile. At present it's not feasible for me to go paid, but I'm looking for a few good icons. I'll probably keep the default, that I love. But I want one that's for days that suck and one for when I'm annoyed. These can either be Buffy themed or Sex & the City themed. Any suggestions?

So this is what sucks. After we talked, I went to the cingular website and found out that my nighttime minutes actually start at 10 pm my time and not 9!!! However, I'm getting a landline on Sept 3, so maybe you can call me on those nights with lots of minutes? And there's always weekends!

I'll be glad to call you. And yes, there's always weekends. (I was going to ask you if you had Verizon, because the new plan I'm getting has 1000 mobile-to-mobile minutes a month. But I think Laura has already laid claim to those). But I'm going to (hopefully) have unlimited nights & weekends that start at 9pm. So you'll hear from me. ;)

Okay, so maybe I was wrong. I called Cingular today and found out that nights do start at 9pm, thank goodness. So we're okay :-)

well, over the past year I've been *very* happy with Verizon wireless. The plan I'm referring to is their America's choice plan, and if you go to any of their stores you should be able to get the whole shpiel.

I can't comment on other plans. My dad had AT&T for awhile, and liked it enough. I hear lots of complaints about sprint, and I'll I've heard about Cingulair is 'they're okay.'

yeah, that seems to be what I'm looking at, just the $35 plan seems to be good, hope I don't get screwed on the cost of a phone...not sure when I want to go back to check it out...maybe I should find a store that has a larger selection and try there.

Radio shack is having a good deal right now. My sister got a great setup, with a whole bunch of stuff (the plan, the phone, a headset/fm radio (SO COOL!), charger, and an inflatable NFL chair for $100 (or just under). And she got a really nice phone too. It's even cheaper if you commit to the 2 year plan.

right, but I think for now I want the 1 year till I see where my life ends up. I may run up to the Radio Shack by me and ask tomorrow. I assume that any deal your Shack is having mine would have as well.
And since activation is about $30 and then there is the other stuff (chargers are important, and right now I'll no longer need the car extension) it would be worth it.
