Myself included. Bleh.

It doesn't help matters that this particular Monday is as icky as the weekend was (minus that lovely reprieve around the 6th inning yesterday at Yankee stadium, but more on that later).

Some highlights:

Friday [livejournal.com profile] blergeatkitty & I had dinner at Shake Shack and then did some shopping for her grand vacation.

Then I came home and was asleep by 11:30

Saturday I got up, did a bunch of Saturday chore-type things, watched Medium, and then met Carly & Tim for taste of Chinatown. It was all fun and games until the Biblical rains began, at which point we parted ways with plans for them to attend this coming weekend's Cherry Blossom festival in Prospect Park. Then I headed home, traded my soaking pants for pj pants and had tea while I spoke to my mom and Maya. Somewhere in between I watched another episode of Big Love (that show is oddly addicting. I'm nearly caught up, too - I just have to watch last week's and this week's) and made plans to watch the Helen Mirren/Jeremy Irons/Hugh Dancy Elizabeth I on HBO.

I curled up on the couch with a blanket and my big fancy tv at 8pm...and passed out. I stumbled off to bed around 10:30, and when I turned my light off at 11 I did't wake up again until 10 the next morning. Exciting, let me tell you.

Sunday [livejournal.com profile] trebleahead & I spent most of the morning trying to figure out if the game was going to be rained out. We couldn't find any info, despite the sheet-like torrents of rain, and headed out to the park anyway, only to be greeted by a half-hour delay, and the assurance that the Yankees would play at 1:30. Riiight. We set about getting some food and by 1 - the rain stopped. Rob insists it was because he made a joke about passing some guy named Noah on the Deegen with a truck full of lumber. I'm not sure. Anyway, the game went on without incident, as the Yanks creamed the Orioles 7-1. The clouds parted, and the sun came out. Giambi hit two home runs. And all was well in the Bronx.

Then home, dinner, dvr, and general messing about until late. Talked to [livejournal.com profile] angelicillusion until late. I also caught a generous part of the film Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle . I very much need to see the rest of it - it was marvelous, and it's very clear why [livejournal.com profile] alcestis loves it so. (Campbell Scott? Call me. Thank you.)

And now, a meeting, other sundry work, dance class and whatever else makes a monday.
