I had big plans for today. I thought that even if the weather was going to not allow for a beach day, I'd *still* do something special. I thought that going to the Whitney to see the Hopper exhibit before it closed would be a perfect solution, and I was going to cleverly time this excursion so that I could go straight from it to
queenmother49's thing later on.
Then, reality set in. The howling wind. The screaming rain. The chill. And then, the better judgement (or laziness) prevailed. I fought with going to the Whitney for awhile, and then I wrote a bit, watched some tv, made more tea, and have settled in to write for another 45 minutes or so before I head out.

It's always better to watch the rain from inside, in my mind. Plus, staying in with tea I already own costs less. I may go to the Hopper exhibit tomorrow, before Michaela's bar crawl. But for now? I think I'm just going to keep enjoying the inside parts of the world that are not raining or windy.
