An equal and opposite reaction

So after yesterday's grumpfest (which was alleviated somewhat by conversations with blergeatkitty &
leopard_lady, as well as careful studying of Cute Overload and
baaaaabyanimals), I wasn't expecting more than to go home, have some dinner, and watch my Thursday night shows.
But then! After working late, the F train was late. Then extremely crowded. Usually this would make me crankier, but four things prevented this:
1. My ipod
2. the fact that I got a SEAT in a little under 2 stops (score!)
3. Motherless Brooklyn, of which I'm absolutely loving every paragraph.
4. The funniest conductor I've had in recent memory. This guy was cracking jokes, doing funny voices, and basically helping everyone on the train make the best of an annoying situation. I even submitted something he said to Overheard in New York. ("Ladies and Gentlemen, it's official. Everyone in New York is on this F train. If you can, please stand clear of the closing doors.")
Then dinner was lovely. I made tacos with spicy pork, cilantro, tomato, a bit of Monterrey Jack cheese, and standing in for the usual sour cream, this great Greek yogurt that I've heard about (called Fage.) It tasted no differently than what I'm used to, which was an excellent surprise. I also toasted the small tortillas in the oven. While I ate, I watched a rather unexciting episode of Project Runway.
After dinner, I watched extremely exciting episodes of Supernatural and Grey's Anatomy. And made myself some of the Mariebelle Hot Chocolate that I've had in my pantry for a minute, which went great with this week's Grey's.
This morning I got to sleep an entire hour late (hooray!) made my appointment with time to spare (despite the best efforts of the F train), and am happy to report that my nose is 100% fine.
Now I'm at work, and things are going well. And it's Friday.
So, life is pretty good. I feel a lot more optimistic than I did yesterday, for many reasons, and I'm trying to stay in that zone. I think the excess of sleep had something to do with it, or perhaps it's the looming weekend. Whatever caused it, I'm happy for the change.
