Oh my poor head. Please stop throbbing. I can't help you unless you stop trying to eject my brain.
Also: riddle me this: you're a company. You're not hiring. So, would you go to a career fair to collect resumes when you're NOT HIRING!!! *sigh* But still, I did talk to a few people that were sort of vague about the hiring/not hiring thing. So we'll see.
And then I got some unsolicited advice from this one guy, who said if I really wanted to be a reporter, I should go to some small rinky-dink town and work on their paper. LEAVE NYC? That would be like putting a fish in quicksand. I do not function outside of nyc. also: all of my friends & family are here. Why would I want to pull up stakes and go to the middle of Nowheresville, U.S.A, where I know absolutely no one? Also, and most importantly: if the real opportunities are in these little towns elsewhere, then why are people from these little towns running to NYC as fast as their little legs can carry them? *shakes pounding head*
*sigh* I miss the good old days when this place was the center of the universe.
I stood for Six hours today. Literally. I did not sit down. My legs almost went on strike. I barely made it home. I'm going to go and lay on something soft now. *limps away*
