Okay, is too much, lemme summup:

- I saw Sex and the City 2: Rise of the Manolos yesterday with [livejournal.com profile] quasisonic and [livejournal.com profile] blergeatkitty. So that happened. Company was stellar, movie less so.

- Entertainment Weekly and I seem to be in perfect agreement about said movie.

- I've been watching episodes from Season 4 of Sex & the City to get the taste of the movie out of my mouth. It was a good show, even a great show. I just wish they'd left well enough alone.

- I have two episodes of The Pacific and six episodes of Treme to catch up on, but I'm all caught up on In Plain Sight. And I'm extremely psyched for the return of Burn Notice and Royal Pains this week.

- Also, if like noir, you really should be watching Justified. I never thought I'd be using the words "backwoods" and "noir" in the same sentence, but that's pretty much what it is. It's a fantastic show.

- Work is work. Uneventful is good. Uneventful makes me happy.

- I find out on Friday if I have jury duty or not. I'm hoping not, since I really hate being away from work right now, but knowing my luck, I'll probably have it. At least it's Federal, not City/State.

- Wedding Stuff continues apace. I'm making significant progress on the photographer front, and some on the catering front. I'm still baffled and amazed by the misuse of the word "reasonable" by vendors, though. I'm considered to be "unreasonable" for wanting to keep costs down, and yet, I feel as if I hadn't invoked the "W" word, I'd be charged less. (J felt it was bad form to do this. I disagreed, but in the end I'm just a shitty liar and I owned up to it.) Still, I'm hoping that within the next few months, I'll have certain budgetary ducks in a row.

- And on the subject of weddings, this book is really blowing my mind. It's really amazing what the Wedding Industrial Complex gets away with, to be honest. And, that it's nothing new!! This has been going around since the turn of the last century, when some department store owners realized they might be able to create long-term customers by catering to brides. This began to run amok after World War II. It's a fascinating read.

And now a shower, before meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] lwoodbloo for a day of fun.
