Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] antheia for giving me this site to torture myself with that which I cannot yet afford. I was going to just go the roommate finder route, but after talking to Tim and Carly abotu it last night, I realized that if I can move out from home and get my own place, then Goddamnit it's gonna be MY OWN PLACE. Tim said it best when he added, "It's not going to be any different than trying to get a random roommate through SUNY."

However, he (and I, to be truthful) forgot to add that random room assignments is how I met his girlfriend 3 years ago! (and in turn, how he met her). So iono. But yeah. I need a job.

and:

what's your inner flower?

hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa:

maybe this is only funny if you're in the industry. It's not just about attention spans and willingness to read, which is a growing problem, I'm not dismissing that by any means. However: if anyone has picked UP a copy of something like Rolling Stone lately, many times the journalists churning out these stories are really going on ad nauseum. It used to be about telling what needed to be said: now there are so many flourishes you have to sometimes flip back to remember what they're talking about. I don't know if it's about shorter attention spans or forcing writers to get to the point. During the days of Gonzo journalists, maybe the amount of acid being ingested allowed some to follow people like Tom Wolfe & Hunter Thompson on their lumbering journeys. Unfortunately, if a writer is not interesting (as they can be) these are often VERY difficult to get through!

is it that we're getting dumber or are they just denying that they don't have anything to say but keep talking? I'm leaning towards the latter.

signs you watched Mary Tyler Moore too often:

the job title of "associate producer" makes you giggle.
