offbalance: (all you need is love)
The best part of coming home Friday evening, after purchasing my super new supersize bag (It's Nine West, but was at Bolton's for $30!!) was that I came home to presents for me!!

My columbia house order arrived )

as well as my order from Amazon! )

Who cares that they were for me and from me? Presents are presents!! I was so very pleased. And I am endlessly blown away at how beautiful La Boheme is. It's just wonderful. ::sigh::

And the big news, boys & girls? If Boss T says yes (and he should) and I can find a flight (shouldn't be an issue): I'm going to NEW ORLEANS FOR MARDI GRAS!!!! ::bounces:: So, those of you familiar with the place, let the reccomendations flow! We already have some restaurant reservations and such, but I'd love to be pointed towards good French Quarter bars.

The very best part of this is that I've just realized how much I need a frigging vacation. So this is perfect.

This is so very excellent. I'm so excited about this. And the best part is that hanging out with Gyda last night made me realize how much fun it's going to be. And you know why? Because she's super organized and responsible, but still really knows how to tear it up and have a good time, as does Michelle. Joyanna is also nice, even though I don't know her as well, and Gyda's boyfriend Ken is also pretty cool, so it should be awesome. :)

::intermission, in which I get all weepy because we're at the end of La Boheme, and it's not a happy ending::

Ahh, now we've moved on to Tori Amos. This should be good. :) *time passes* [actually, Scarlet's Walk is great. This may turn into one of my favorites from her catalogue. *is pleased*

So anyway, last night I played Sherpa and guided Gyda onto the ferry and through the Wilds of Staten Island, to see a production of the musical about Fiorello LaGuardia (Fiorello) featuring some guy from The Sopranos (Tony LoBianco) who couldn't really sing.
cut out of mercy )
Okay, and now I have to go and kill something, because I think the laser inside of my cd player inside of my stereo is broken. AAAAAAGH!!!!!! This is the second brand new cd it's been skipping with!!! argh.
