Yearly recap post

I'm feeling a little bit better now than I did this morning, save for a bit sore (I fell down a few stairs while trying to take some garbage out earlier, ripped an old pair of jeans and banged myself up a little. BIG FUN!)

Then I went to my parents' house and had dinner and relaxed and that was very nice. Sadly, it made my recap post a bit late, but here it is, anyway. I also have groceries now, which is excellent.

NYE in pictures...

Once again, Mitch Clem says it all.

I was too busy drinking on NYE to take as many pictures as last year, but here are the few I did take (and were taken)

And now I have to make some calls to plan my day (supposedly a viewing of Brokeback Mountain is in my future) and then shower. Hope you're all enjoying your days off (if you have them...)

Now, it's no secret that I love chocolate. Always have. From Hershey bars to Lindt Truffles, I've rarely met a piece I didn't like. (well, I think Godiva is a little oversalted and overhyped, but I do like those hazelnut shell truffles they make.)

But I've met the greatest of them all - something so rich and lovely that they're almost too pretty to eat, but when you finally do, you're totally blown away.

greensward sent me a box for Christmas and not only did they come wrapped in a lovely little box, but each chocolate is painted with a pretty little scene. And the chocolates themselves? Not eating them all at once is the very definition of willpower. I really must call & thank him.

I really can't wait to try the Mariebelle Hot Chocolate I won in the Holiday Gift Swap now. :)

and on a completely different note - does anyone reading this in the NYC area have a travel agent they really like? If so, I'd like to speak to them. zyll & I have been scouring the internets, and frankly we're exhausted & overwhelmed, and would like to speak to a pro, if we can.
