And before I forget...
Jan. 3rd, 2006 04:17 pmHappy Birthday
newuniverse, sorry you couldn't have better weather for this day. But congrats on now being able to vote and buy porn!
I had planned on going to the gym this evening, but I'm beginning to rethink that after all. As previously reported, I fell down the stairs while trying to take out the garbage on Sunday. I didn't fall down an entire flight, just half of one, but still, ow. And furthermore and besides that? OW. The worst are the belated bumps, bruises and aches coming to light a few days after the fact. So I'm going to take myself home and rest instead of putting more strain on my poor body. I have a new Medium on the dvr I need to see anyway. And a Netflix selection for the viewing that I didn't get to over the weekend.
Saw Brokeback Mountain yesterday. It was beautifullly shot, and I don't believe a single actor in it could be accused of phoning in their performance. However, I found large chunks of it to be paralyzingly dull, because not a lot happened, to be honest. I know it's all in the details, but I like stuff to happen in movies. You know? (And there was stuff that *did* happen, but there were also a lot of moments were the audience was having a staring contest with Heath Ledger or we were treated to Yet Another Sweeping Vista. All well & good, but not exciting.) *shrug* Next on the list is Match Point, but I honestly don't have much attracting me to the theater at the moment. Except that I'd like to see Narnia again.
I now have a whole pile of payments to do. YAY.
