Sometimes you just can't win.
May. 3rd, 2006 10:06 am(firstly and apart from everything else I'm about to post: Happy Birthday
warmage!! Also, good luck to
blergeatkitty, who starts her shiny new job today!)
Last night I went to the gym after work, and it was a GREAT idea. 15 minutes on the elliptical bike, 75 crunches and some free weights really does feel like a good workout. I'm hoping to work up to a longer stretch on the elliptical soon, although I may have to plan my gym time around That 70's Show. Good tv really does make a workout better. Anyway, for my workout and nicely balanced dinner, I was 'rewarded' with the following two unpleasant incidents last night:
1. LJ went poof for several hours. At first I thought that my connection was acting up again, but after an hour or so I discovered this wasn't the case, and ALL of LJ was down. Not fun. At least it wasn't like the Great Outage of '05 - LJ was down for a whole weekend! *rattles cane*
2. Veronica Mars was not on AGAIN last night because of stupid, stupid basketball. I now hate the sport. I never much liked it, honestly. Now? I hate, hate, hate it. I also see no reason why they couldn't just throw VM on after the game was over, but whatever. Now all I can do is wait until my favorite back-alley sources have some form of an episode available for my consumption. In the meantime, grr, arrgh, and I feel a flaying coming on. And worst of all? It was the fucking Nets. Who I dislike violently anyway, for the way they're threatening to ruin Brooklyn further with their stupid arena that we really don't need. Brooklyn is full. Will someone please hang the No Vacancy sign already?
To console myself about the lack of VM, I decided to watch the episode of Supernatural that
antheia made me download. And thanks to her peer pressure, I may now have ANOTHER show to add to the list. Le sigh. It may work out, however, because I may not watch NCIS anymore next season.
( Spoilerish reason why, for the 3 of you who care about NCIS )
And that's that, for now. Nothing more of substance to say, really, except that I'll be spending most of my procrastination time over at
daydreamholiday today, the rad new community that
antheia put together yesterday, in part because of this post..
Anyway, work.
