So, last night I wound up coming home (after a detour to Payless where I bought
After indulging in a Jerry Orbach-centric (and rather funny) episode of Law & Order, I stumbled upon a show called The Singing Bee. Similar to name that tune, contestants are charged with remembering song lyrics for cash and glory. I thought it would be horrible and cheesy, it turned out to be fun and cheesy. I didn't blow a single lyric while watching at home, either. As I watched yesterday's winner walk off with a cool $50,000, I got to thinking.
I have always been a fan of lyrics, and make it my business to always know exactly what they are of songs I like. Or, sometimes even just songs I know. I can be a bit exact at this, too. (Not that I *cough* correct people or anything. Um.) But, it might not be the worst thing to put this tiny bit of OCD to good use. On the downside, there's the whole Nationally Televised Humiliation With Joey Fatone Watching aspect of the whole business, which gives me some pause. Losing on Jeopardy has a certain cache, at least in my circles, and I doubt this will. Plus, I don't even know if they need more contestants, and it probably tapes in L.A. anyway, and blah blah blah.

Today has been uneventful so far, and that's the way (uh huh uh huh) I like it.
