Erin Go Away.
Mar. 17th, 2010 10:59 amHappy Birthday to
killerweasel!!
We haven't known each other long, but I must take this opportunity to thank you - your journal is full of all sorts of amazing news stories and clips that usually go meme days to weeks after you find them. I hope you have a year filled with only good, positive things. :)
So, I'm at work. I listened to the Pogues on the way in, so Happy St. Patrick's day to me.
I finally remembered last night that there's this magical potion called Robitussin. And, not only does it make the coughing coughing COUGHING coughing slow down and sometimes even stop, it also helps you relax. So, I have a nice bottle of it and it's making the transition back somewhat easier.
Although, my office is on the parade route, so it'll be all bagpipes all the time, starting in about 5 minutes. Awesome. I'm amused at how they're supposed to be cracking down on the drinking going on outside, as they never really paid close attention ever. Also, I really have a hard time believing that they're going to stop the 2nd Avenue Shuffle - where parade goers take a break at any of the Irish pubs on 2nd ave and then head back. Or, you know, what everyone does, puts the booze in a soda bottle and drinks it that way, mixed. At least I have a perfectly valid excuse for avoiding amateur night. :P
