So, after a fantabulous weekend, in which I got to spend many hours with many awesome folks (including [livejournal.com profile] j_bkl ), I was rested and ready to head back to work yesterday morning.   Instead, I woke up with what I have now dubbed the Stomapocalypse.  I'll spare the NSFL details, but my entire digestive system decided to result.   I am unsure if it was food poisoning (the place we ate sunday night was a tad sketch), a stomach virus (my spectacular fall last week could have delivered a shock to my system that lowered my immune defense), or the fact that the tacos I ordered sunday night came out heaped high with guacamole, which I was not prepared for nor expected.  So I had to send them back, and I'm reasonably sure they just scraped it off, so it could have been an allergic reaction.  I slept most of the day, and when I wasn't sleeping, I was curled up in the fetal position or expelling the evil particles from my system.  Ugh.

When I finally DID feel better, after some bland food and a few hours of my new obsession, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, I felt well enough to venture outside of my abode to check the mail.  This is my standard-issue "am I ready for the commute to work" test, and it went just fine.

Then I got back to my apartment and discovered the trackball was gone from my blackberry.  ::facepalm::   A search was fruitless.
Thank FUCK I paid for that dumbass phone insurance.   $50 later, a shiny new blackberry was sent to me.  And arrived at 10am.  \o/  It's almost back in working order, I just need to upload my address book and whatever else I backed up last night.

As I said on twitter yesterday, it's hard to believe that one can have a bad day without leaving home, but I still managed.  Blah.

Only good parts of yesterday involved tv.   Leverage and True Blood deserve shout-outs, too. (LOL forever at the In Memoriam that ran before this week's True Blood)  I was not satisfied with the ending of Huge.  Too little was resolved, in my opinion.  But White Collar and Covert Affairs tonight!  ::bounce::

And this is my last week of summer hours at work.  The bad news is, no more early Fridays.  BUT!  It also means I go back to starting at 9 and leaving at 5, which I am actually looking forward to.

So, lj, in its infinite "wisdom" has decided to make it easier to connect your LJ with facebook. Meaning, that you can link comments - ANYONE'S comments - to facebook.

Apparently, no one took 5 seconds to suss out why this might be a terrible idea.

So, let me state for the record that if I catch anyone around here reposting anything of mine on facebook? Furious will not even begin to cover it. And you will find yourself banned. Perhaps permanently, depending on a few factors. I don't care how amazing, or clever, or funny or whatever it is. You can repost it without directly linking back to my LJ, or using my LJ name. Okay? Also nice? ASKING PERMISSION.

I work really hard to keep LJ and Facebook separate. REALLY. FUCKING. HARD. Some of you may have even noticed how tweaked I get if someone who knows my real last name uses it in any LJ context. There are reasons. Good reasons. I know the whole concept of "privacy" on the internet is stupid at best, but I try not to be too obvious about some things.

So, in short, if you want to stay friends? Keep my LJ out of your facebook or twitter or whathaveyou.

(starting to wonder about that dreamwidth migration about now...)

If this LJ to FB mess continues, oh the temptation to flee LJ is great. And I love me some LJ. But this is so not on.
