Last night's Angel, to quote The Simpsons' Comic Book Guy, was the worst.episode.ever. It sucked!! Longest hour of my life. Of all the good fanfic that exists out there, they had to take that steaming pile of crap that was last night's episode? The characters were poorly drawn. The concept was vague at best and whole thing felt odd, out of character, and just...stupid. I just sat there the entire time, wondering exactly WHAT the point of this one was. And I don't think that there was one. At all. :P

I think that show's mostly filler. Ugh. Why does this show have such a problem with premature plot ejaculation?

And next week? WTF? *facepalm* I think we're actually going to watch Angel jump a real (or puppet) shark. Just like Fonzie did. Good night nurse. :P

My sister and I both screamed "What the hell!?" at the whole Angel puppet thing. :P

But that episode has one thing going for it: It's written and directed by Ben Edlund, creator of the Tick. If anyone can do something that crazy and make it work, it's him.

I'm going to watch it. If Buffy could make a Dummy into a cool episode, anything is possible. And if this guy was part of the Tick's creative team, then that bodes well. I can deal with wacky, I can't deal with sucky.

Bleh, I said I would not read anyone else's Angel comments before I'd written my own, but...
I totally agree with you. I found the ep dull, bland, utterly tension-free, with terrible characterization and general mehness. I could feel a few moments that were meant to be thought-provoking or shocking, but instead of being provoked to think or shocked, I just thought "huh. That was lame."

I mean, wtf? Last week was so great, and now this? I don't even know what to make of next week, but that's just a wait & see thing.
