I'm not going to bitch about the holiday that ended about an hour ago. I didn't really do so all day. In fact, I just ignored it.
That works the best, I find.
I didn't really do anything worth mentioning today - except get to see Resevoir Dogs for the first time. Interesting and cool, although
quasisonic's and my reaction to the ending was... "That's it?!?"
I don't want to comment on this business with the Yankees and A-Rod. I don't understand what Steinbrenner's hard-on is for this guy, but I don't like, agree with, or understand it. *grumble*
As for Angel being cancelled, I think maybe it's just time. That show's been on a steady decline, imho, and I was ready for them to pack it in after the utter debacle that was last season. The first season was classic. Most of Season 2 that was not Pylea-related was also very good. But it just fell apart like a puff pastry after that, and that was it. Usually the bad episodes outweigh the exceptional ones in a given season, whereas on Buffy I always felt that was the opposite. Last week painfully illustrated how very out of ideas they are, and I think that they're going to wrap it all up nicely after a perfectly respectable 5 seasons. It's sad, but it was a good show, and I'm interested to see what else Joss has up his sleeve.
Yesterday after work was pretty fun.
missgyder ,
velvetxgrl,
quasisonic,
filmislife, Michelle, Amy, Gyda's boyfriend Ken, and I all went to some somewhat okay Irish bar on 54th street after work. It was so much fun to see everyone, even though I now see greater benefits for drinking downtown (mainly the prices). Still, you can't beat Grand Sichuan for great post-drink snacks!
And now I'm going to bed, because that's the only way this song is leaving my brain...

Re:

I hope to only use it for good, and not evil, but it seems to be beyond my control...
