My Boss, ladies and gentlemen

So, as if Boss T weren't already up for the title of Boss of the Milennium, he wrote a POEM inside my card. I'm not sure if he's the author of said poem (although he could very well be) but he said that the very idea that someone he works with is only 24 got him thinking a lot this morning. So this is what he wrote inside of my card:

Oh to be 24,
23 nevermore
Thought, at first this might sound doleful
I suggest you look at this in a light more hopeful
For the alternative is truly bleak
After so many "nevermores" I can safely speak
To me it would just suit me fine
If, one day, I'm able to say "Nevermore 99!"

yeah, its sorta weird... i was just screwing around on lj, surfing posts in nycnobody, being silly... (i meant no offense in my earlier flame-y comments you know, sorry!). then i surfed through your journal, and i gotta say, it appears that youre the sort of genuinely straight-forward, rather eloquent, intelligent nyc woman who could quite possibly be a blast to hang out with sometime, or something. (and for what its worth, you seem to be pretty cute too...)

yeah, i know its totally weird, but i thought id at least ask. maybe we could talk more or something.

and yeah, ive got a pic, but ill get that to you later when i get home, as i dont have it on my work computer.

I have to say that you have a way with words, and I'm flattered. :) I'd love to say that I had a sense of you from your own journal, but there's not a post to be read there.

Oh, and no offense taken - it was partially my own fault, I was having a stressful day at work and was in a pissy mood. :)

well, i didnt say anything that didnt seem to be true; i dunno, i guess thats why i had to get in touch and maybe see if you wanted to talk more, cause well, i think youre pretty darn neat :)

yeah, i just use my journal to read other communities and comment on friend's entries- i really dont write much myself, unfortunately- sorry to leave you with a dead-end there. but! i would love to email you if thats cool... im super busy at work at the moment, but ill write you in a bit.
