I am not getting sick!! Nooooo!

Left the St. Patrick's festivities a bit early last night because my throat was bothering me. It is still. Am distressed.

Can't afford denial. Am going to opt for lots of Zycam and vitamin C and sleep tonight. It's all I can do. *SIGH*
I also hope to leave on time again today, making it a grand total of 3 days in a row.

Grrreat. It seems to be inane task time now. Boss L and I scheduled a meeting this afternoon to get me more comfortable with drafting amendments, a development that seemed to delight her to no end. (Also, she's wearing JEANS today. I am not. This makes me cranky. I could be in jeans, yet am not.) But, before I get to do the more interesting parts of my job, I have to be the scanning bitch for editorial yet again, because, yanno, Heaven forbid they have thorough files or any knowledge of their own titles. I mean, really. Wtf, right? *growls*

And shizzit! I'm going to eat while I do some of this and then take off for my REAL lunch (at the Time Warner Center) in half an hour! That, I'm looking forward to. Maybe I'll get some soup at Whole Foods. :)

I've heard going on a juice fast for a few days can prevent you from getting sick. Supposedly all the vitamins are pure, or something like that. There's all this stuff about people beating cancer with it and whatnot.

Thanks, but I'd last about 3 hours on one of those. If my stomach doesn't get solid food, I get migranes. That, and I have low blood pressure, which gets aggravated by low blood sugar from the no-solid-food, and am generally better off just eating real things.

See, if I were a normal person, this would be great advice. But my body is not normal, and cannot enjoy things like caffiene, ibuprofen, donating blood, or juice fasts. *sigh*

(and speaking of food, we ought to get together and hang out sometime soon!)

That's too bad. But perhaps that is why you tend to get or feel sick a lot. I can't donate blood, but that's just 'cause I'm short. :)

Yes, we should definitely get together! Fridays are always good because I'm off from work and don't get home so late.

Probably. It's supremely annoying, though. I feel as though I get sick twice as often as those around me, but it might just be this winter. It's been a bad one.

Actually, next Friday might be good even though I have to work, since hopefully I'll be out at a reasonable hour, though wouldn't be back in the city til at least 8. Friday after that would be good too.
