Happy New Year.

I was going to do the same yearly survey I've done every year for the last several. And I still may, if I get bored enough. At the moment, I'm breaking with tradition for good reason.
2006 had some great points. Many people close to me got married and had babies, fell in love or deep like. I met Meg,and got better acquainted with a couple of people I knew, but not well. I got to go to Las Vegas. I lost 15 pounds, and am poised to lose even more. (Hell, last night I wore my skinny jeans out for New Year's. The ones I had packed away because they didn't fit anymore.) There were some definite good times.
There was also the suck. I'm trying not to dwell on that part, but it's there. There were a ton of disappointments in 2006, and I'd rather just not get into them. I'm hoping that 2007 won't be a repeat, and I'll be regaling everyone with tales of my glorious New Year's spent with my special someone. (Oh, and how I managed to put more money in the bank, finish my novel, and all that other stuff). We'll see. At current, my resolutions are to keep losing weight and working out, keep writing (and writing more). My hope for the year is to be in like with someone by its close, but we'll see how that turns out.
At the moment I'm about to head out to meet up with some friends for sushi. I hope everyone has a great 2007.
