This is crazy. Maybe it's time to add Safe to my Netflix queue, as the world appears to be going THAT bonkers. :P
Of course, this is doubled by the fact that my supposedly "organic" burrito (from Amy's Organic, natch) left a funky taste in my mouth this morning. Ugh. I've been trying to find inexpensive, healthy breakfast options that are also portable. I really am not a big cereal fan. I'll eat it, but for some reason I never find it either filling or satisfying. If I have a bowl of cereal at say, 8:30, I'll be hungry again by 10. I like oatmeal just fine, but I'm growing tired of it as Spring begins to assert itself. Healthy is the sticking point. I mean, there are plenty of OPTIONS around me for breakfast - McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Smoothie huts...and lots of places that offer every possible breakfast option under the sun (pancakes? Waffles? French toast? No problem!). Now, I love eggs and I love omlettes, but not every day. Lox gets expensive, and I try to avoid having bagels more than once a week if at all.
I started this at 9:30. Work intervened. Agh.
Today I've been busy but felt like I've been doing little of consequence. It's definitely spring.

Date: 2007-03-28 06:53 pm (UTC)I'd suggest trying oatmeal with with berries or bananas if you want to keep in line with the warm weather. I honestly haven't found anything else that's filling, except maybe toast or an english muffin with peanut butter.

Date: 2007-03-28 09:45 pm (UTC)that small meal before i leave the house really gets my metabolism going. I'm usually very hungry by the time I get to my second meal...and i'll probably have another fruit snack before lunch.
i'm doing the several smaller meals a day thing.

Date: 2007-03-30 04:57 am (UTC)Also, making waffles on the weekend, then wrapping them in plastic and chucking them in the freezer to be toasted during the week also provides an awesome breakfast. Waffles with nuts and berries cooked in for the win!
Additionally, müsli plus yogurt equals awesome. Maybe a piece of fruit as well.
Not sure if any of those are helpful :)
