Seeing Dirty Dancing last night in a big crowd was spectacular. Truly. The audience (mostly comprised of women, and the occasional good-natured boyfriend dragged along) sang, shouted lines, and cheered their brains out. When Johnny Castle walked up to the table and declared, "Nobody puts Baby in a corner!" the place went appropriately apeshit. Snarking along with the movie with good friends was just icing on the cake - snark with love is just all the sweeter, imho.

Today I have many errands and then my Night of Big TV. I'm supposed to have lunch with lwoodbloo today, and I'm hoping he's still up for going here. I read the review again this morning and it sounds amazing. Of course, the fact that I'm hungry doesn't help.

I've got to go and get ready for a meeting, with visions of roast pork dancing in my head.

Midtown Lunch? Yeah. I discovered it through Gothamist (I think) a few weeks back, and I was in love. I feel like it's opened up a whole new world of dining options for me. It's also really well organized, which I like.
