quasisonic and I boarded an F train around our usual time this morning, grabbed seats and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Forty-five minutes and several announcements about flooding later, we were on our very, very, very slow way. And hot, because the A/C was hardly working. Two hours after first boarding the train, I was at work. Out of my group, I was the second one there. Everybody else was late, due to Metro-North flooding or other craziness.

When the thunderstorm woke me up around 5:15 this morning, I sighed and knew in my heart that this morning's commute was going to be a total pain in my ass. The tornado warnings made me question leaving the house. Hopefully nothing else will today.

I was wondering how you fared today! An artist friend of mine in Brooklyn had fuuuuun this morning - people actually fell out when the doors of her train opened because there were too many jammed in and the TA asked people not to ride, which is insane.

Add the flooding and the fact that her post office was closed due a fire across the street and ... wow. Fun times.

Yeah, friggin' thunderstorm("GOSH!") woke me up even earlier than that and I couldn't get back to sleep. Amazingly, the commute in Westchester wasn't bad, for a change (of the icecube-in-hell variety).
