Just got back from the doctor. He prescribed some over-the-counter pepcid to help with my stomach (I was dubious, but it's honestly worked a treat so far), and suggested that I drink as much Gatorade as I can stand. That's easy, since I love Gatorade (apologies to those who have other loyalties in the SEC). He also stated the following:

For the next 5-7 days:

No alcohol
No caffiene
No chocolate
No tomato sauce
No oatmeal
No Fried foods
No green vegetables

So there goes about 95% of my usual diet (except caffiene, which I usually avoid anyway). BLAH. This week is going to be a festival of broth, rice, ramen, other noodles, and non-whole-wheat breads. Oh, and gatorade. Did I mention the gatorade? I've also been told to avoid large amounts of fatty things, too - egg whites are fine, yolks maybe not. Cheese and I are already in something of a fight, so I'm not sure about that one. Simple proteins are okay. If I could stand to look at chicken right now, I could have some plain pieces of that. Yay. Hopefully I will not go nuts on this - I'm pretty sure I won't, given how unappetizing most food is to me right now.

Neither Kim nor Regina got sick, but Regina told me that the girl who organized the reunion did. And possibly other people, I don't know. I wrote to the organizer and I'll see what she says. Geez.

Oh gawd, you poor love! That is a REALLY restrictive diet! I'd go nuts. Although...well, when your tummy is already staging a rebellion...

It'll be really interesting to see what the organizer says...

I can't wait to hear either.

In the meantime, here's hoping I lose a few pounds. :P

Heh, I don't think you're going to have much of a choice...!

Oh, hon, that is the suck! I'm so sorry.

That is the worst bad food list. :(

Thanks. :/

Yeah, it really does suck without end. Thankfully, it'll just be for a week or so.

That does really blow. :(
Although it sounds like what I was unable to eat from late September-early November.

Yeah. In so many ways. And I still feel like I've been through a fucking war. And then a bar fight after the war.

How did you keep from going out of your gourd? I mean, some of the stuff I don't mind, but vegetables are something that I don't even think twice about eating.

Well, I didn't avoid green vegetables. Not sure what the problem with that would be, unless it's just that they require more work to digest. Same for oatmeal. I had a lot of vegetarian pea soup from Whole Foods, and rice.

You optimist! ;)

Maybe in a few days. I'm going to play it safe for now.

Stomach problems are THE SUCK. I would seriously die without coffee. I can go without just about anything, but coffee? Coffee and I are BFF. I hope you are feeling much better soon, girlie. I know I have not been around lately but I am trying.

I'm not supposed to have spinach or broccoli. I like spinach and broccoli.

I'd offer chicken soup, but without celery ...

Pedialyte actually works a lot better than Gatorade (It has a lot more electolytes for what you need. Gatorade only replaces the amount if you sweat a lot during sports.) & a BRAT diet (Bananas Rice Apples Tea) it helps to bind. ::hugs:: feel better.
