Top 5 Reasons to Go to Work Despite the Fact That Your Stomach Has Gone Haywire

5. If you pass out, people will notice.

4. The lively debate that ensues regarding the effectiveness of Pringles versus conventional saltines in curbing nausea. (I'm pro-pringle, myself)

3. You're sitting still, without feeling guilty about how you should be cleaning. Or at work.

2. Easier access to ginger ale.

1. Bathroom always at close range.

Or something. Ugh. Unfortunately a lovely dinner with [livejournal.com profile] whtegrlwthehair had to be cut short last night after my digestive system decided to unleash the apocalypse. I'll spare you the details. And rather than obsess if I have a bug or food poisoning of some degree, I decided to treat the symptoms instead of driving myself insane. So far, so good.

At any rate, this morning I was dressed yet hovering around the line about whether I was okay to go or unfit to travel, and decided to see how the walk from the building to the corner went. Since that was uneventful, I am giving it the old college try.

Which may mean I'll be asleep in my bed by 3pm. Or it may mean a bigger, more exciting try. We'll see. In the meantime, pass the ginger ale.

Blergh, that sounds awful. Poor thing. But I've totally gone to work before on the basis of "well, if I pass out HERE, someone might notice before the smell alerts the neighbours..."

Never tried Pringles over saltines. I assume you're using plain ones?

Well, it ain't fun. And I am wondering if it's one of those things that'll shake off before too long.

Yes, the plain - I try to use the low-sodium ones, whatever I could find at the drugstore. They crumble less than the crackers, which make me choke.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's a "sudden onset, sudden relief" sort of thing, poor love!

Hmmm, that's a REALLY good point about Pringles vs. saltines. They get all gummy when you try to wash them down, too, which Pringles don't...

I kind of had a similar problem yesterday for no real discernible reason. 0_o It's pretty lame, and I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! And it does suck majorly. I'm feeling better now, though. Much better. Thank Christ.
