What's Fountain Day?

Fountain Day is the day they turn on the enormous fountain in the center of our campus. There's food, carnival and shopping booths, and the chance to watch the majority of the U Albany population drunkenly jumping into the fountain (which is 2-3 ft deep at it's deepest point and a little smaller than a football field). Usually a couple of peopel streak, and most show up drunk.

it's the closest thing we have to mardi gras, and deeply loved by all.

The day the open up the BIIIG fountain in the middle of campus and everyone can jump in after it's opened or before it's opened and all the lovely water gushes out... it's pandemonium!
