- Back at Work. :P
+ Work seems okay. ::looks around cautiously::
+/- I am in need of an optician. Where do YOU get your glasses? I'm currently contemplating Grand Central Optical and some others in Midtown.
+ Caught up on pretty much the entire DVR over the weekend! All that remains (aside from what we're saving) is a single episode of Hung, and the premiere episode of The Pillars of the Earth (and whatever was on last night). We finished Treme, which I think is one of the very best things I’ve watched on HBO, possibly ever. It was moving, hilarious, heartbreaking, and hopeful. And the music is phenomenal. If this doesn’t walk away with a shopping cart full of Emmys and Golden Globes, there is something very wrong.
+ I have to watch last night’s episode, but True Blood is on some wonderful crack this season. BUT! They finally got Sookie right. FINALLY.
+ Watched the season premiere of Mad Men at Casa Teanytoken. I’m really loving this tradition of ours for getting together for the premiere! Also, this season got off to a strong and rollicking start. Can’t wait to see where this is going!
- Usually I’m pretty dubious about the whole “trigger” business. I feel like the term is totally and completely overused, and is at risk for losing its meaning due to this abuse. HOWEVER. I was definitely triggered when I attempted to watch District 9 over the weekend. Apparently, forced medical testing/scientific experimentation on an unwilling victim? Apparently this is a major trigger for me. I got so upset (palpitations, nausea, etc.) we had to turn it off. It seemed like a really interesting way to tell an old story, so I was bummed, but I can’t handle that movie.
+/- We got IE 8 at work. It does not want me to look at pictures in either gmail or google reader. This annoys me, but tech support is working on it. *sigh*
