ladymoonray and dolores - do check in and let us know how you all are faring. Last I heard you're far from the melee, but I'd still like to know you two are all right. And that's the same for all of my other UK/London-based LJ peeps.

I'm fine, honest! I was bemused by the looting in the London suburb where I grew up. Bizarre. But I'm about 50 miles from London now, and glad of it. Work is fine, there's nothing going on near there. But I'm not hanging around in the evenings.

Very glad to hear it. I got a bit nervous when I'd heard words of the riots spreading to other towns/cities. Best to you and yours and hope you continue to be far from the maddening crowds.

So sorry to take so long to reply to this - the reason being that, I was in another, sleepy, unmolested part of the country this week with work and thankfully far from the madding crowds.

I was in London over the weekend - and the boy and I live only about a mile from Tottenham, where it all kicked off. However aside from being kept up by the sound of helicopters and sirens and a few nearby shops being boarded up the next day we were okay. Still scary though, bad times.

That's no worries - in fact, that's a reason I was hoping for, that you were nowhere near the melee. I had this memory of you living not far from Tottenham and I wasn't sure what was going on. I'm very glad you're both safe. ::glomp::
